               In France

At my home in Calvados, Normandy, about 45 minutes by car 

from Caen port. I can organise gite accommodation nearby. 

Midday meals are available at the local village restaurant, or you

 can bring a packed lunch, and prepare it in my kitchen. 

There are 3 sailings most days from Portsmouth to Caen with

 Brittany Ferries.

My experience as an artist and teacher of art has always been about building an image; layering paint or adding clay.
It was a completely new experience to work on a piece of limestone and have to consider my design from the 'outside-in'. 

Steve was a brilliant teacher, always keeping an eye on us, but giving us the confidence to work independently....
